Katy Scoggin is an award-winning documentary director, producer, and camerawoman. She is entering post-production on her debut feature doc Flood, which explores polarizing beliefs that can stretch families to the breaking point. The decade-long project has received support from the Sundance Institute, Film Independent, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, NYU, DCTV, IFP Documentary Lab, the MacDowell Colony, the BAVC MediaMaker Fellowship, and Women Make Movies. Previously, Katy worked for Laura Poitras, during which she was a co-producer and cinematographer on Oscar-winning CITIZENFOUR and its follow-up, Risk; and an associate producer on Emmy-nominated The Oath. She was a producer and/or DP on Poitras's NY Times OpDocs The Program and Death of a Prisoner. In 2016, she filmed cinema vérité on the US campaign trail for filmmaker and Field of Vision co-founder AJ Schnack.
